inspired by the oh so very stylish and wearable pop jeans from acne, but without the penny to actually get some, i decided to embark on a new project. old 501s + scissors + yellow thread + sewing machine = cropped jeans my way. what do you think?

our balcony is being renovated and we haven´t been able to use it for a month and a half, but just in time for the nicest weather, they removed the barricade on the door. oh joy!

i forgot my sunglasses at home the other day and so this beautiful weather forced me to get a new pair. aw, such a shame, haha... cubus has truly updated their profile and the stores are already full of trendy items for late summer and fall, including this simple and chic pair of shades.

STROLLIN´IN THE SUN

we´ve had a few warm, sunny days here and in lack of other plans for summer, we decided to make the most of it and go sightseeing in our own town. these are a few snaps from the stroll. colorful flowers and a huge piece and then a hearty norwegian waffle and coffee for lunch.

SHORT OR SHORTER?

a little while ago i finally decided to get a haircut for summer and was rather pleased at the moment. i finally found a great hairdresser and i got exactly what i asked for. this picture was taken before the rain got to me though... anyways, the thing is, now that i made the dreaded step, all my fashion idols have gone wilder and gotten even shorter, fabulous bobs. even the ones with curly hair like mine. so what do i do now? chop off a few more inches? it won´t grow back in quite a few months. the summer is so short here and somehow short hair doesn´t appeal to me in the winter. this is truly a tricky one. what do you think?

i´ve been drooling over all the pretty shoulder bags in stores now, so when my momma gave me this beauty from guess as a gift, just because, i was thrilled. it´s pretty and practical so it´s been on my shoulder every day since.

occasionally i play around with different shades of nail polish, but at the end of the day i think au naturel nails looks better. and i don´t think there´s a better shade for that purpose than this beautiful one from chanel called 507 - tendresse.

I HEART NRK P2

i remember feeling really old when i started listening to p4 and i used to shy away from the nrk radio stations aside from p3 which was rather hip at some point. now i find that coffee and nrk p2s current affair show "ekko" makes a perfect morning, but i´m not old enough to stop writing things like "i <3 nrk p2" and "i <3 ekko."

i usually tell people, for fun, that i live in the suburbs of lillehammer. looking through these pictures, they almost made me believe it myself, which is sorta pleasing because i´m fascinated by movies and pictures that capture grey, hopeless, almost suffocative suburban life.

FAVOURITE NAIL POLISH

i´m not exactly a hand model, but i have to tell you, and you need to know, about this great nail polish brand, zoya. the nail polish is without toluene, formaldehyde, dbp and camphor, but it´s still one of the best polishes i ever tried. it comes in many fabulous colours too (the one i'm wearing is called storm). what great news for every one who pay attention to what they put in and on their body!

i lived in oslo for ten blissful years before work brought me elsewhere, but i´m still an addict of big city life. that´s why my new project is to explore lillehammer and find it´s urbanity. i suspect there may be more to this place than sleepy, cosy, small town spirit. dig the search.
